What began in the early 90’s as a dream in the minds of two men, Viktor Brown and Ernest Smith, has become a reality known as The SoundVision Entertainment. Viktor and Ernest officially launched this company, headquartered in Mt. Vernon, New York, in 1998. It has always been our hope that SoundVision would stand for integrity, both in the music we produce and in the lives of our artists and staff. Our desire is to present God’s message through excellence, simplicity and integrity. 

As a management, marketing and promotion company, we feel privileged to represent the artists, Jae Nixon, Preacher, Jenny Joseph, Exodus, EPESIANS, Ruby Collins and Rize. The refined talents and rich lyrics of our artists have come from years of ministry experience and walking with the Lord. Each one senses the call of God to communicate the Gospel through their music. SoundVision Entertainment’s vision is twofold: to support the ministry of churches and organizations, which want to book Christian artists, as well as support the ministry of the artist. 

SoundVision is a ministry within a company. Potential clients, such as churches or Christian organizations can book one of the artists through SoundVision Ent. Sometimes we do charity work, which depends on the needs of the client and the heart of the artist. However, we are motivated to secure for the artist a reasonable honorarium. We believe that Gospel music is a major vehicle to the world at large. We firmly believe that our work is an offering to God, so we have grown slowly and added artists prayerfully. All of the artists on our roster are deeply committed to Christ. They are ministers first and musicians second. It is our prayer that these offerings will be pleasing to the Lord and that he will use them for his glory. Our involvement with or artists will not be determined by sales statistics. We are partnering with artists we believe in the help support and serve their ministries. Beyond just simply variety, there is another facet to our artists that is impressive. Not only is all the artists different from each other, but they also share two things in common: (one) They worship the Lord strongly and sincerely and (two) they are all very good. The collective talent level and creativity of each artist is, quite frankly, exceptional. 

For a three year old company, SoundVision ENT. has managed to pull the cream of the crop in urban, hiphop, reggae and r&b gospel. The way we got to where we are now is by blessed people who play great gospel music and a relationship starts from there. Getting talent is more that just running into it, though one has to wonder what SoundVision ENT. Recruitment standards are. SoundVision Ent. looks for merit and good knowledge of music. But one thing for sure, an artist must have something meaningful to say and is not pretentious.

SoundVision Entertainment also promotes and manages clients from writers to movie producers. Known names as Jerald Hoover, who’s book “My Friend My Hero” has sold over 50,000 copies and growing, we also represent up and coming writers, Diane Parker and Douglas Bryan and Kenneth McNeil who’s script “Baptism Of Fire” is HOT.
